Glad That I Live
We raised the roof with this glorious hymn at the Crematorium as we celebrated the life of a local lady who was nearly 90 years old. Her daughter wrote these words:
I was very happy with the service the celebrant provided, both in coming to our home and the actual funeral. I had not had to arrange a funeral before and was very grateful for the help she gave me.
Glad That I Live
Glad that I live am I;
That the sky is blue;
Glad for the country lanes,
And the fall of dew.
After the sun, the rain,
After the rain the sun;
This is the way of life,
Till the work be done.
All that we need to do,
Be we low or high,
Is to see that we grow,
Nearer to God on high.
