About Me – Independent Celebrant

My name is Sarah Chapman and I am a professional Celebrant based in the south west of England. In 2012, I trained with Civil Ceremonies Ltd. and have a Diploma in Celebrancy: Naming and Couples (QCF) and a Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy (QCF).
In my professional life I have performed and taught drama and music, facilitated Singing for Memory sessions (for people with early dementia), directed choirs on land and on cruises and I am privileged to be a mother and grandmother.

I am warm, loyal, reliable and friendly and a good listener.  I love my job and, as a Celebrant, I believe that your Ceremony is at the very heart of your day.  I am also creative and will help you create and then conduct your unique and individual Ceremony where ever and whenever you wish.

All you need to do is choose the time, place, guests and style, and I will create vows, readings and words so that they are perfectly suited for you, your family and your friends.

You can include symbolic and traditional rituals and also spiritual or faith-based beliefs in your ceremony.

Together we will create meaningful memories, which will bind you closer and give joy to all the special people on your special day.

I also offer paper hearts of Forget-me-not seeds.  Once you have planted them, year after year the flowers will blossom in memory and celebration of your loved one.

Just thought I would drop you a line to say how amazing you were at my nieces wedding yesterday.  You held us all in the palm of your hands with your wonderful personality and I felt secure in the knowledge that the whole ceremony was going to be perfect…and it was!  It was so lovely for us all to have a part in the Flower Ceremony and my brother felt proud to be able to tie the hand fasting knot.  You are a special person and I would recommend you highly.  Thank you for such a heartfelt ceremony. Myrna xx
