Sandwell Manor for Ceremonies

I have just come back from meeting Kizzy at Sandwell Manor near Totnes.  What an amazing venue for all your celebrations!  We talked about Weddings, Namings, Renewal of Vows and even Funeral ceremonies. You and your family and friends can stay for the weekend or even enjoy your celebration for a week.  There is a Pavilion, large house and beautiful grounds – even a glorious tree for your hand fasting ceremony.  As they are also only 2 miles from my home they are definitely my favourite venue!

Perfect for groups of family or friends to relax and create lasting memories

Have a look at their website and contact them for more information.

Italian Naming Ceremony

On a recent visit to Venice, I took a boat to the islands and explored Burano.

It is such a beautiful colourful place and this doorway caught my attention.

The door was decorated to celebrate the birth of Jacob Isaac and such a wonderful way to tell everyone about this important event!

Celebrate all the big events in your life with a personal unique ceremony – call me on 07870763304 for more details.

Poppy Mai – Naming Ceremony

Family and friends met together to support this wonderful family as they celebrated at Exminster Golf Centre for Poppy Mai’s Naming Day.  We began by Lauren and Adrian lighting a candle for their daughter which they will keep and light on her birthday every year.

As her Parents, Grandparents and 6 Godparents came forward to make their promises to Poppy, they placed a pink rose into the vase on the table along with all of their hopes, best wishes and love for her.

After their promises they took a packet of poppy seeds to plant so that year after year the poppies will remind them all of their love for Poppy.

I asked all the guests:

Do you welcome Poppy into your lives and promise to support and encourage her in all she does? and they replied Yes we do

Poppy’ brothers Jayden and Kai read this beautiful poem to her

Poem: Our Smiling Little Sister

You are the little girl who smiles at me

The little girl who longs to see

Where all my toys are hidden away

You need them now it’s time to play.

The little girl who always smiles

The little girl who crawls for miles

You’re into things you shouldn’t be

Oh why can’t you sit quietly?

The little girl who chatters away

The little girl who has lots to say

I give you my promise that I’ll always care

As your big brothers and sister we’ll always be there

Joshua Molnar

A beautiful day for such a beautiful little girl.  To Poppy-  health, happiness and long life.

Angel – Sarah McLachlan

I Want Tomorrow – Enya

When I Grow Up – The Beach Boys

Let me know your favourite songs that celebrate your children, I look forward to your comments.

Naming Ceremony for Esme

Ruth and Dave declared their solemn promises to always love and care for their gorgeous daughter Esme in front of many family and friends.
Six Guardians promised to be an ear to listen, a voice to advise and a pair of arms that will always have a hug waiting.
Six grandparents promised to provide a haven of fun, love, giggles and special treats and through it all Esme just beamed.
Her brother and sister presented her with a silver bracelet and they were overjoyed to receive a bracelet each as well!
A special ceremony for such a special little girl.

“I approached Sarah Chapman after needing a private celebrant for my daughters naming do. Sarah helped me by reassuring me on the phone that it was something she could and would love to do. We met up and discussed the plans, Sarah is kind, dedicated and just over all a lovely lady. The result was amazing! We had a beautiful day with our friends and family and Sarah kept it all together perfectly!! I found Sarah to be so helpful and I would without a doubt recommend her to anyone, thanks again Sarah”

NAMING CEREMONY FOR PHOEBE

The setting of Phoebe’s Naming Ceremony was perfect at Old Forde House in Newton Abbot.  All the family were there to wish Phoebe heartfelt wishes for a long, happy life.  Other important people made promises to Phoebe including four Guiding Parents, Grandparents, her sister and brother and her parents.

An old African saying states ‘It takes a whole village to raise a child’. In our complex world, even the most loving and capable parents benefit from help in raising their children.

I asked all her family and friends:

Do you welcome Phoebe into your lives and promise to support and encourage her in all she does?

They all replied YES!
